Man what a great experience! Given the performance given by the Massachusetts roots reggae group The Elovaters, I wish I could have gone all 3 nights. The energy was so much love and positivity; the music was absolutely stellar. The Elevators are awesome, these boys deserve all the wonderful things that are happening!! I was lucky enough to catch one of the three nights the fellas were in our backyard.
On a Wednesday night the energy was electric during the first of two nights back to back at Crystal Bay Casino. The room was almost full when Pipedown opened the night. These guys are homemade right from the North Shore and they did Tahoe proud. The fellas really stepped into their moment and put on an excellent performance. They rose to the occasion and definitely showed they deserve to be here. They had a solid crowd just for them and the crowd was singing loud for the hometown boys.

Donny Beck lead singer and guitarist of Pipedown had this to say:
“People like to glorify what they’re doing of course but without fluff last night was by far our most important and electric show in the Tahoe Basin to date. Not only have The Elovaters been a huge inspiration since we formed Pipe Down in 2021, they are on a seemingly unstoppable climb, so to have the opportunity to open for them was not taken lightly. Stepping onto the stage last night to a packed room felt like standing on lightning but we were ready and we had the time of our damn lives. Much love to all the Tahomies in the crowd, that was the loudest I’ve ever heard our songs sung back to us.”

Claire Wright was up next and boy did she and her band deliver. Lots of good talent in this band with one awesome lovely lady leading the way. Super cute with her overalls, acoustic guitar and soulful voice. She had the room singing along with her and even joined The Elovaters for their song “If You Wanna Roll”.
The room was electric and ready for headliners The Elovaters. Off a fresh announcement of a sold out show at Morrison, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, the group played crowd favorites along with some awesome new songs off their new album Shark Belly Motel. The crowd danced and sang every word. The stage show and lights are really dialed in, they looked and sounded great. Skilled musicians and a great band for others to lead by example. They are kind to their fans and expressed their love to hear the crowd sing back and smiling with them. They really know how to connect with their audience. What a great first night I’m sure night 2 will be epic!
Tahoe and surrounding areas came out to show support with three packed shows, sending off the group with rapturous cheers.
