Earles of Newtown perform Alibi Ale Works – Truckee Public House at 9 p.m. Friday, June 28. C’mon out and shake the dance floor to some “Gypsy Dixie” hot dance jazz. Tickets are $15 in advance at www.alibi.beer or $20 at the door. Earles of Newtown is an eclectic nonet from Nevada City. The music they refer to as funky gypsy-dixieland-jazz is originally composed, dance orientated and spans genres through prohibition era jazz, Southern funk, dance grooves and electro swing.
