The New Orleans to Crystal Bay connection continued Sept. 20 when Big Sam’s Funky Nation rocked the Crystal Bay Casino. The show opened with the second-line superstars the Stooges Brass Band, formed by Walter Ramsey, Big Sam Williams and “Da Phessah,” Drew Baham. In the after-party a Reno funk band turned the Red Room Mojo Green. Big Sam joined the fun, jamming onstage. Tahoe Onstage images by Tim Parsons.
