Photographer’s Notebook: TAUK was the opening band for Umphrey’s McGee on Thursday, March 24 in the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe . TAUK has been described as a heavy NYC dirty funk band. The band consists of Matt Jalbert (guitar), Charlie Dolan (bass), Alric “A.C.” Carter (keyboard, organ), and Isaac Teel (drums). They play a unique blend of experimental melodic funky rock. I had never heard any of TAUK’s music and had no expectations. I must say I was completely blown away. The musicianship of this band is of the highest caliber. They are main-act quality. I thoroughly enjoyed this band and can’t wait for them to come back to Tahoe again.
