Valhalla Renaissance Faire

The 25th annual Valhalla Renaissance Faire will be held over two weekends in Lake Tahoe. The Scottish invasion including a Celtic Concert is on June 2-3 and Pirate and Barbarian Hordes invade the festivities June 9-10.

Queen Elizabeth requests your attendance to celebrate merrymaking and celebration at Camp Richardson. Step back to a time of revelry and magic. Return to the Renaissance – Return to the Magic! Be a part of history and come in costume, or come as you are and immerse yourself in games, theater and splendid Renaissance marketplace.

There will be crafts, food, drink, artisans, music and dance with 800 actors partaking in the festivities.

Drawing more then 8,000 visitors, the Valhalla Renaissance Faire is a unique entertainment experience and an extraordinary outing for children. This unique festival includes full armored combat between knights, a Celtic Music Concert along with culinary delicacies, craft demonstrations, ancient music, dance and comedy. Patrons will participate in archery, javelin throws, and fencing. Activities for the children will include dancing, games, crafts, puppet shows and storytelling.

First Weekend:

Scottish invasion including a Celtic Concert! The first weekend is geared more toward younger audiences with tons of shows, dancing, theater plays, music and magic for your whole family. Inspire your children to learn about Shakespeare or the Renaissance by dressing up for the weekend. Enter Costume contests, stroll through a maze, play tons of games meet the Queen and Shakespeare’s characters from his stories, learn to sword fight, dance in the streets, watch some awesome theatre, and get drenched too at court of St. Aidens!

Second Weekend:

Pirate and Barbarian Hordes invade the festivities on the second weekend. Special Feature – Cu Dubh playing for your pleasure! Let loose and have a jolly good time while you participate in Scavenger Hunts, costume contests, and a Talk Like a Pirate Competitions.
